The Military Court of Appeal, located in Vlasikha, Moscow Region, rejected the appeal to extend the arrest of the defendants in the third Bakhchisaray case of Hizb ut-Tahrir. It is reported by "Crimean solidarity".
The measure of restraint for Seytumer Seytumerov, Osman Seytumerov and Rustem Seytmemetov, who are now being held in the Rostov pre-trial detention center, was left the same - arrest until April 22, 2021. In November, the decision to extend the detention was made by the Southern District Military Court in the Rostov Region, and then they were transferred from the Crimean pre-trial detention center to the Rostov-on-Don pre-trial detention center.
The lawyers participated in the court session via videoconferencing through the Crimean Garrison Military Court. The defense asked to choose other preventive measures, referring to the chronic diseases of the accused, as well as the fact that they are political prisoners and are persecuted on religious grounds. But the court did not satisfy the appeal of the lawyers.
