The court extended the arrest of five defendants in the second Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case for six months.

The court extended for six months the arrest of the first five defendants in the second Simferopol case of Hizb ut-Tahrir. It is reported by "Crimean solidarity".

This group of defendants includes Remzi Bekirov, Riza Izetov, Raim Aivazov, Shaban Umerov, Farhod Bazarov. The court granted the prosecutor's request to extend the arrest of the accused until June 16, 2021. The defendants are being escorted to SIZO-1 of the Rostov region in Rostov-on-Don.

All five are accused of organizing the activities of a terrorist organization (Part 1 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code), as well as of preparing for the violent overthrow of the constitutional order (Article 278 of the Criminal Code with the application of Part 1 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code). The court limited the time for them to familiarize themselves with the case materials.

The fact that the defendants in the second Simferopol case of Hizb ut-Tahrir were going to be tried in groups of five people became known at the end of August. At that time, Farhod Bazarov, unlike the other four in the top five, was accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code), but later the charge was reclassified from participation to an organization.
