The results of the year. Stability virus

If we talk about the main events of the year, then there were three. Covid-19 pandemic, adoption of amendments to the constitution and poisoning of Alexei Navalny. Of course, there were two more events very significant for Russia - the not -ended revolution in Belarus and the election of the US president, but they require a separate conversation.

The pandemic who came from China has created a new global reality-economic, technological, socio-psychological and cultural. We will not count the chickens soon, but it is already obvious that for Russia the virus will have various consequences. In short -term mode - quite positive for the authorities. The people are scared, passive. Neither rallies, nor processions. Complete stability. In general, crises, threats of this kind usually contribute to the unity of the nation around the leader, the banner, etc. However, the deferred, strategic effect has a completely different orientation. The impoverishment of the poor, which make up the bulk of the country's population and at the same time the electoral base of Vladimir Putin is fraught with unpredictable changes in social moods. A favorable background for these changes will be a further technological lag from the West, which will extremely complicate the economic restoration of Russia after a covid catastrophe.

And here, by the way, amendments to the Constitution, which can be preserved and marked by the onset of political dictatorship in the country.

Then the only question is: how much is this political dictatorship and chkkracy ready to paint the snowball with red?

And see the answer to this question in the third paragraph. The prepared and implemented, as we already understand, with a very high degree of probability of the entire Department of the FSB, the attempt to kill Alexei Navalny indicates that the current state is ready to engage in terror in relation to its citizens.

Now it all depends on how long the pandemic lasts. While it continues, there will be nothing. When it ends, it will be interesting.
