On the night of December 31 to January 1, nothing happens in nature. We cannot start with a clean sheet and turn the page. Everything that happened in 2020 will determine the 2021st. All changes in 2020 will remain with us.

Our political regime is not at all on bayonets, as those who do not accept it think, not on the bribery of state employees and, of course, not on successes in domestic and foreign policy - due to their absence. The regime is on psychology, on human feelings.

Hopes, illusions, fears, disappointments. People live in the world of phantoms - the enemies surrounding us, envious of our spirituality and hoping for us of humanity, traditional values ​​that determine our whole lives (what they are, the authorities did not even try to explain - and correctly, this must not be known, but to feel).

In 2020, fantastic psychological changes occurred.

Of course, as elsewhere, our attitude was influenced by the pandemic. Changing each other fear, depression, hussar spit - this is not all. It is more important that the world has become more hostile to each of us: the invisible enemy made a dangerous restaurant, and a friendly hug, and even a touch to the door handle. Those who seem to not pay attention to these threats are, in fact, they are also under their influence-these people replace fear in the subconscious, and in the inevitable place of inevitably becomes some kind of symptom, expressed in inappropriate behavior and in the distortion of the image of the world. Actually, this is a neurosis.

The world has become not only dangerous, it became unpredictable and uncontrollable. Our individual plans have already undergone correction, but in the future a lot that we are used to defining ourselves now depends not on us, but on the course of the pandemic, the effectiveness of vaccination, quarantine measures, the decisions of which are made by people unknown to us thousands of kilometers from us. But this is all over the world.

In us in 2020, some psychological constructs collapsed, which were more important than oil for the stability of the regime.

The image of Putin has changed. The question is not in the ratings that fell, but remain high - the question is what is behind them? His legitimacy was largely based on the feelings of people in relation to him - on a sense of strength, luck, masculinity.

Propaganda constantly and successfully, despite some mistakes, as with ceres and amphoras, supported this image. But this is in the past.

His role suggested that he should always be ahead of a dashing horse. The first blow to the image was inflicted when, with an increase in the retirement age, he put forward Medvedev - and waited for him. The second - during the pandemic period, when he was at first silent, and then began to lead the way of life that many characterize as “hid in the bunker”. Disappointment here is as irrationally as the previous admiration. The former supporters experience feelings similar to the experiences of a woman who is disappointed in her lover. Well, how could I love him, how could I not see all this? This, of course, does not mean that those who think so now will be against him - a woman can remain with an unloved husband simply because there is nowhere to go!

The second psychological component of the stability of the authorities was a picture of the world comfortable for man - we are surrounded by enemies, evil, but not terrible. We always defeated them, we will win now. We are stronger, we can be proud of ourselves and we can all afford, we are above all and all. The apotheosis of these feelings is Crimea. But the increase in problems, coupled with the unwillingness of the state to help people affected by the pandemic destroys this picture. And this is an additional disappointment in mode.

The elites are also disappointed. The expression "if not Putin, then who?" characterized not so much mass moods as the attitude of the upper several thousand, which are used to seeing the president of the one who resolves conflicts between them. An unexpected transfer of responsibility for the fight against pandemia to the governors signals the elites that anyone can be at the first post. And this sensation is fraught with serious political consequences.

He did not want to support the ground in a single impulse, to get the result, I had to push the first person to the background, to convince people that they do not vote behind the leader of the country, but for love for domestic animals and so on, to conduct voting with monstrous violations. That is, the authorities were forced to deceive the people. Not the first time, of course, but this deception is so large that, according to long -known psychological laws, this inevitably worsens the attitude of the authorities towards the people. If earlier the highest leaders could see themselves with Roosevelts who lead weak and unconnected people to a new independent life, now the people are only a source of threat for them.

We received the inheritance from 2020-and now we can live with this-the legitimation of a sense of aggression. The term "fifth column" has long entered the vocabulary, but there was never such a direct declaration by enemies of all disagreements. On May 9, about those who did not want to participate in a strange action of joint singing, leaning out of the window with a portrait of a veteran, they said that during the war, they would certainly go to the policemen. This, of course, is a direct provocation of violence. Well, by the end of the year, the corresponding legislative package was also applied - for example, the first list of “foreign agents” was announced (and this is a revival of the status of a deprived).
