Musician Kanye West and model Kim Kardashian are divorcing after six years of marriage, American tabloid Page Six writes.

As several sources told the publication at once, “a divorce is inevitable,” since Kardashian has already hired a lawyer, Laura Wasser, who handled the divorce proceedings of stars such as Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Johnny Depp.

The couple's possible divorce is also being reported by TMZ and E! News , according to which the couple have been living separately for a long time, although they made attempts to save the marriage by contacting a family counselor. One of the reasons for the discord in their relationship is West's unsuccessful attempt to run for president of the United States .

According to Page Six's interlocutors, the rapper spent the New Year holidays on a ranch in Wyoming, away from the Kardashian family, "with whom he wants nothing to do."

As for Kim Kardashian, says another source, she has "grown up a lot" and intends to pass the exam for a lawyer's license in order to engage in social and human rights activities, in particular, the reform of the US prison system.

The main issue in the couple's divorce negotiations could be their family home in Calabasas, California, the tabloid's sources say. The $40 million house belongs to West, but the Kardashians want to keep it as their four children grew up and live there.
