If you want to develop something social in Russia, then you must first get a certificate from the authorities and report on the source of funds.

If you take money from the state, you jump as high as you were told, and are generally connected by numerous obligations - for example, publicly maintaining the “party course”. If you are financed by citizens by a crowdfunding model, then you are most likely a fraudster: this is clearly follows from a new criminal case against Alexei Navalny. And, of course, if you have one euro or at least “methodological help” from abroad, you are a foreign agent. And the option with the money of private business within Russia is poorly visible: “public-private partnership” has gone too far in recent years.

So the Kremlin message to the “population” sounds extremely clear: it is better not to do anything, in volunteering, independent media, social and educational projects do not climb, we will somehow figure it out without you. For these priorities for the New Year, gifts were generously issued.

The municipal deputy Julia Galyamin was condemned for two years conventionally for the fact that she peacefully protested against the restriction of her electoral rights. All, of course, breathed a sigh of relief: oh, how humane, that not a colony! But in practice, as the observer of “New” Leonid Nikitinsky wrote , we are talking about a civil execution: Galyamin is a professional linguist, a teacher at the university, and she will be expelled from there for the very fact of criminal record. If you want to engage in an honest democratic policy, you don’t have a place in a student audience - this is a gift number three.

Andrei Kuraev was deprived of the dignity. Formally, we, of course, are separated from the church, but gifts of this kind can be put under the same Christmas tree.

It is impossible - both the representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church and all other citizens are reported - it is like that to criticize respected people, in particular Patriarch Kirill. The case of Kuraev, perhaps, is especially bright: it definitely reflects the main thought of the authorities that dissent itself is criminal.

Finally, soon we will be happy with the law on educational activities built in the same logic: who can enlighten citizens here - the competent authorities will figure it out, and the article is laid for everyone else. After all, a too enlightened person may, God forbid, think about what went wrong in Russia “after stability”.
