A picketer who was detained at the FSB building demanding Ukrainian citizenship was arrested for 15 days

The Meshchansky District Court arrested Andrei Us for 15 days, who was detained on January 11 near the FSB building in Moscow during a picket demanding Ukrainian citizenship. He himself reported this to the OVD-Info hotline.

The picketer was found guilty of disobedience to a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because he refused to show the contents of his bag to the police on the street. In case of refusal, he referred to the legislation. Usu was also fined 10 thousand rubles under the article on violation of covid restrictions (Article 20.6.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

Us added that after the arrest, the head of the police department for the Meshchansky district, Colonel Nikita Ageev, had a conversation with him. He asked the detainee about his family and about the purpose of his pickets.

The arrested person will serve his sentence in special detention center No. 2 in Khoroshevo-Mnevniki.

• Andrei Us was repeatedly detained during single-person pickets on Red Square or near the FSB building. On his posters, he usually writes demands to take him to Ukraine and grant him the citizenship of this country. The arrests took place in 2020 on November 9 , 10 , 21 , 22 , 25 , December 1 , 5 , 15 and 31 .
