Navalny was put on the federal wanted list the day before the end of his probation in the Yves Rocher case

The politician Alexei Navalny was put on the federal wanted list on December 29, 2020, follows from the resolution of the Moscow department of the Federal Penitentiary Service, which was published by Mash . The oppositionist's lawyer Vadim Kobzev confirmed this information to Mediazona.

According to the documents, the “convict is evading the control” of the Federal Penitentiary Service, and therefore, on November 27, 2020, “initial search actions” began against him. As stated in the resolution, during these actions it was not possible to establish Navalny’s whereabouts.

We are talking about the Yves Rocher criminal case, in which the politician was sentenced to 3.5 years probation. Navalny was also given a probationary period of five years, which was then extended for another year. The oppositionist wrote that his probation period expired on December 30, 2020.

Mash also published a notice sent by Navalny to the Federal Penitentiary Service. The politician said that he was in the Berlin Charite clinic until September 23. After this, he remained in Germany and underwent outpatient treatment. Navalny indicated the address where he lives and added that he would inform the FSIN about his return to Russia.

On January 12, the Federal Penitentiary Service asked the court to replace Navalny’s suspended sentence with a real one after publishing about his recovery in the medical journal Lancet . The department found that he “does not fulfill the duties assigned to him by the court and is evading the control of the criminal-executive inspection.”

The next day, January 13, the oppositionist announced his return to Russia.

Navalny felt unwell on board a plane flying from Tomsk to Moscow on the morning of August 20. The plane made an emergency landing in Omsk. He spent two days in a coma in a local hospital, from where he was flown to the Charite clinic in Berlin.
