On January 14, the Supreme Court of Bashkortostan upheld the decision of the Kirovsky District Court of Ufa on the extension of the arrest to the activist of the Bashkir National Movement Ramile Saitova. This was reported by the telegram channel "Kustau On-line".

The activist is accused under the article on public calls for extremism on the Internet (part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code). January 4 "Idel. Realities ” wrote about the extension of a preventive measure - the district court decided to leave Saitov in a pre -trial detention center until March 6, 2021.

Lawyer Garifulla Yaparov commented on the results of the arrest: “At the trial, we petitioned the replacement of Ramil Saitova’s detention for house arrest. The UFSB investigator stated the need to extend the term of arrest due to the fact that it was necessary to perform a large number of investigative actions in the case, but why did such actions have not been performed in the last two months while Saitov was in custody? What interfered? All evidence [videos] on which the investigation is building its charge already in the case, material evidence - a computer, a mobile phone and so on - have already been seized from Saitova during the detention and are also at the investigation. The investigator did not answer all these questions. Nevertheless, the court took his side and left my client in jail. ”

According to a lawyer, the prisoners of the pre -trial detention center in Ufa, where they hold Saitov, complained about the conditions of detention. Among other things, in the cells of the insulator, the constant air temperature does not rise above 10 degrees of heat, and by order of the FSIN employees in the pre -trial detention center do not accept programs for prisoners. After a complaint to the Prosecutor General’s Office, heating was “established”.

Yaparov also clarified that Saitova is allowed to date only with lawyers, and she cannot meet with relatives and friends.

On January 13, a publication on a psychological linguistic examination of one of Saitova’s videos appeared on the Ufa Online portal. Experts from the Bashkir State University said that "the video recordings of Kushtau without compromises on August 27, 2020" contain signs of calling for violation of human and citizen rights and citizen on the grounds of national and religious affiliation. "

Saitov was sent to a pre -trial detention center on November 7, 2020. A few days before, she posted on her YouTube channel a video with the announcement of the Bashkir People’s Assembly, which, according to her, should take place on November 12. The activist emphasized that the age of the event includes questions about the “demolition of all crosses in the Urals” and “ultimatum to the Armenians” living in Bashkortostan.
