The court arrested four participants in last year's mass conflict near Ufa

The Ordzhonikidze District Court of Ufa arrested four participants in the November conflict in the village of Karamaskali, Bashinform reported , citing a source in law enforcement agencies, and Interfax, citing an “informed” interlocutor.

According to Bashinform, all four are members of an organization recognized as extremist in Russia. 43-year-old Rail Abkadirov, 42-year-old Rustam Amanov, 42-year-old Ilnur Kinisarov and 30-year-old Marat Sharafutdinov were taken into custody.

According to the agency, a can of gunpowder, sawn-off shotguns, a homemade pistol and cartridges were seized from them.

Those arrested are accused of attempted hooliganism with the use of a weapon (Article 30, Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code) and illegal possession of weapons (Part 1 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code). A Bashinform source close to the investigation added that based on the results of the examinations, the issue of initiating a case under Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity) will be decided.

Security forces conducted searches of the participants in the conflict on January 13 and detained about 15 people. The investigation reported on the seizure of extremist literature and Bashkort symbols. “Kushtau Online ” wrote that the searches took place at those who wrote complaints about the actions of the police.

In early November, special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained more than 30 people on their way to Karmaskaly to participate in the gathering. 19 detainees were placed under administrative arrest.

According to Kushtau Online , the gathering was planned due to a dispute over money borrowed by a local businessman from a representative of the Armenian diaspora. According to Bashinform , Bashkort supporters were going to “seize the business of local entrepreneurs of Armenian origin” and force them to “pay a monthly tribute.”
