I received a fracture of the hand, several ribs and the cervical spine. Her son was a year and a half.

Thanks to the operation in time, the woman survived and was able to regain part of the control of the body. You can, of course, say that she partially owns her hands, or we can clarify that Elena Krutova won the World Cup in the onion in class W1.

- Before the injury, I was engaged in heavy athletics. After the end of rehabilitation, I wanted to return to sport, he was always part of my life. It was not possible to return to heavy athletics and did a powerlifting - I would not have passed the medical board. Therefore, she began to engage in shooting from a rifle, met other athletes, began to leave the house more, communicate. I was offered to speak at the opening of the Paralympics in Sochi in the room "Dancing in strollers"; Of course, I immediately agreed. I really liked it there. In that year, the department for athletes with injuries of the cervical firing of onions only opened. I was offered to try. For some time I tried to combine the rifle and onion, but I had to leave the rifle. The firing of onions, according to the sensations, emotions that she brought me, and tightened me very quickly.

Elena is a leading athlete in the world and all -Russian rating in his discipline. She constantly goes to fees, all -Russian and international competitions. In January, he gathers at the first large starts from the beginning of the pandemic. He tells about his trips:

- When you move from a state of a vertical person to a sedentary, you become a little mobility, it is quite difficult to get used to the inaccessibility of our affordable environment. Fortunately, I almost do not have to use public transport, I drive by car. But even for me, many borders, even low, are irresistible on their own. Or ramps, which are made at such an angle that you yourself can’t stop by and you can’t eat.

Always, of course, you can ask for help, but it is conceived that everything should be wrong. & In other cities, especially on trips in Russia, the problem with the availability of transport is very noticeable.

We are always guessing with our colleagues, which coaches will go on a trip with us - young and strong, or elderly. After all, trainers have to help us - raise, transplant into transport, wear luggage. The team is rather big, therefore, of course, the load on the coaches is colossal. We worry about them, try to help with what we can.

Professional sport gives Elena financial stability thanks to international successes and high results at all -Russian starts. The Paralympic Committee provided all members of the national team with high -quality wheelchairs. The Heritage charity foundation helped Krutova to repair the apartment after the fire that happened while she was at sports, and acquired a new bow for her.

Therefore, Elena did not think long about which organization to transfer 100 thousand rubles from the Fonbet charity program “The Bet on Good” - a partner of the joint project of Novaya Gazeta and the Paralympic Committee of Russia.

Elena Krutova twice received a license to participate in the Paralympic Games. But in 2016, Russian athletes did not allow these competitions due to a doping scandal, and in 2020 there was a pandemic. Elena is very waiting for the Olympics in Tokyo in 2021.

She trains in a short target right in the room. During quarantine, this was the only way to maintain a form. Before the upcoming fees in January, it was possible to train on the street, with real competitive distances. Despite the cold, Elena charges and shoots with her bare hands.

“There is such an athlete, Mat Stutsman, he does not have both hands, he charges the bow with his foot and shoots his teeth,” says Krutova. - He won silver at the Paralympics in 2012. So my weak hands are still not the limit. Doctors proposed to cut the tendons so that the fingers straightened. I refused, because then I would not be able to use them at all. And so I can even recruit the SS, drive a car ... and shoot, of course!

- Since the end of February last year, almost all international competitions have been canceled or transferred, including the qualifications to the Paralympic summer games in Tokyo and the winter of 2022 in Beijing. But last year, despite all this difficult situation, our federations managed to hold Russian championships in almost all Paralympic sports, winter and summer, in compliance with the necessary sanitary and epidemiological norms. This required, of course, a lot of work and great training.

Now our team is being formed for the next paralympics. All those quotas that were previously won, even before Covid, were confirmed. Today, our athletes won 136 quotas to participate in games, which corresponds to 174 athletes in 13 sports. We hope to take part in 19 out of 22 disciplines. And we hope that approximately 270 athletes will be able to take a classification.

Unfortunately, the problem of disabled people as a whole remains since Soviet times. And as a special case of this, the problem of physical work with people with disabilities, the sports of disabled people, and physical culture. She either hushed up or underestimated, was not part of our education system, education, and medicine. The situation managed to turn the situation already in the post -Soviet period. And the Paralympic movement played a huge role. But assistance to disabled athletes makes better than the person himself who provides this assistance.
