Participants in ecopickets against the destruction of green spaces were detained in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, near the Gostiny Dvor, the coordinator of the Green Petersburg movement, Krasimir Vransky, was detained due to a series of single pickets against the destruction of green spaces. Vranski himself informed OVD-Info about this.

At the moment, the activist is in a paddy wagon opposite Gostiny Dvor. It is not yet known whether they are going to take him somewhere.

“We were supposed to hold pickets today in defense of the green areas of the city, which they want to build up. Ecologists and city defenders came out along the entire Nevsky Prospekt with single pickets. I was detained,” Vranski said in a conversation with OVD-Info.

In addition, another picket participant, Svetlana Utkina, was detained near Gostiny Dvor.

19:40 Not far from Gostiny Dvor, four more people were detained: Dmitry Prytkov, member of the territorial election commission Anna Shushpanova, municipal deputy Maria Voyutskaya and Natalya Barinova.

Svetlana Utkina was taken to the 28th police department of the Central District of St. Petersburg. According to preliminary data, the rest will also be taken to this department.

At the same time, she was charged with an action that took place on August 15 - in support of the protesters in Khabarovsk.

Utkin is left overnight at police station No. 28 until trial.
