Police officers who threw drugs to the Medusa specialist Ivan Golunov were looking for contradictions in his testimony. This is what came of it

On Wednesday, January 20, the third meeting was held in the Moscow City Court in the case of operatives of the Internal Affairs Directorate in the Western Administrative District (CJSC) of the capital, which are accused of that in the summer of 2019 they threw drugs to the Medusa specialist Ivan Golunov. This time, the nurse of the Center for Narcology gave testimonies, where the journalist was brought to the examination immediately after the illegal detention. Golunov himself continued to answer the questions of the defendants - five police officers - who tried (unsuccessfully) to find contradictions in his testimony. The third court hearing began with a delay of two and a half hours: they did not have time to deliver the four accused in time in the pre -trial detention center - former operatives Akbar Sergaliev, Roman Feofanov, Maxim Umetbaev and their former chief Igor Lyakhovts.

At the last meeting, Lyakhovets explained to the judge that he wanted to "expose Golunov." Including, "to prove that he was not such a great journalist, and all [discovered] substances belonged to him." The former police major formulates and asks questions himself, without the help of a lawyer: the defender Shamil Feizrahmanov appointed to him - he usually comes to the meeting in a cozy red sweater - he has not yet uttered a word for the whole process.

Golunov gives readings from a place, leaning a little into a chair - he is in a black medical mask and gloves; It is heard well. Lyakhovets reads pre -prepared questions from the sheet, moving closely to the glass of the Aquarium.

Having received the opportunity to continue the interrogation of the journalist, for some reason he for some reason asks what backpack he traveled to Riga, where the Medusa editorial office is located.

"Shortly before the detention, you were in Riga - did you have the same backpack with which you were detained?" - formulates the Lyakhovets. What should this interrogation line be brought to, the court gathered in the courtroom will not be able to find out: the judge removed almost all the following questions of the former major either as not related to the essence of the charges brought to the operatives, or as already clarified.

"What, in your opinion, served as a reason for applying you?" - Judge Sergey Gruzdev takes off the next question of the Lyachovts, without even listening. The former policeman is silent and read the list in his hands; Golunov removes the mask and drinks water. “You asked to call [Golunov’s neighbor Mael] Duval to destroy the narcotic drugs that were stored at your home?” - the former major tries again; The presiding judge again does not allow Golunov to answer a leading question.

"In general, did you have pain?" - Finally, the accused asks. The judge himself answers this question: “Ask the [Akbara] Sergalieva,” Gruzdev says sarcastically, recalling that the operative Sergaliev (according to Golunov’s testimony, he applied strength to the journalist) already asked at the last meeting.

Part of the questions of the Lyakhovtsets are devoted to the study of the device of the backpack Golunov, with whom he was detained in the summer of 2019 - and in which the operatives threw a package with drugs: “How does the castle open? He is alone? " "Is there a lightning?" - the judge also revives; This is the first question in 15 minutes that he did not have to shoot. “Yes, lightning and two sliders,” says Golunov.

Soon it comes to the circumstances in which Golunov was taken to search and examined the center of narcology, where the journalist took tests. “When leaving the Internal Affairs Directorate, you began to try, there, call for help, grab the door - for what purpose did you provoke employees to illegal actions against you? - Lyakhovets sounds almost offended. “Why couldn't it be answered calmly?” Then the judge issues the first warning to the person: “The question is so leading that it sounds just like an answer that you want to hear from the victim! Do you even understand what is happening in the process now? And how many years do you have official activities? 20? "

When the judge makes him a second remark, the Lahovets is hard, on the whole hall, sighs. “Employees allegedly started dragging you and you felt pain - can you confirm this? How, having lost consciousness, could you feel pain? " -This question Gruzdev removes somehow tiredly and almost without irritation. One of the bailiffs, covering his eyes, begins to massage whiskey.

Defenders of the rest of the accused are thrown back on chairs; Lyakhovtsa’s lawyer continues to sit completely motionless. Finally, the issues of the defendant end: the judge took more than half of them, and advised the part to look for the answer "in the law on the police and in the Russian language dictionary."

The former operative Akbar Sergaliev should further ask questions to Golunov; His lawyer Denis Korolev, impressed by the three remarks that the judge made to Lakakhovts, asks Gruzdev for a break of “at least five minutes” to explain to the client the rules of interrogation at the hearing.

This, however, does not help: the judge shoots the first issue of Sergaliev. Lyakhovets suddenly tries to apologize for his inexperience - the judge in response recommends that he listen more to the lawyer appointed by the court: "Shamil Abbarievich is an experienced person."

The first witness is called to the hall, the nurse Tatyana Evdokimova; It was to her to work, to the Moscow Scientific and Practical Center for Narcology, the police brought Golunov to examine on the day of detention. A slightly bewildered dark -haired woman in a woolen dress and warm tights goes to the department. “And leave your handbag here - they will look after her,” the judge asked affectionately.

The whole second half of the meeting, the lawyers of the former operatives are trying to identify the contradictions between different versions of Golunov’s testimony (data during the investigation, process or confrontation). Details that the defense is trying to establish from the side seem secondary: which lawyer Kolunov asked to call the police department; who brought handcuffs to the place of detention; Whether Sergaliev saw how Umetbaev hit Golunov or spoke at that moment on the phone.

The representative of Sergaliev Denis Kovalev asks to announce the testimony of Golunov of January 20, 2020. A year ago, the journalist was differently described by the sequence of actions of the operatives, the lawyer explained his request. “At first you said that the handcuffs were put on you before Sergaliev’s arrival - now you say that he brought them. Releasing several dozen sheets from the case takes about an hour; It is not possible to find any contradictions in the testimony of Golunov. For the third time, the judge refuses to return to the case file at the defense of the defense - the meeting ends with this.
