In Kazan, police detained Ekaterina Matveeva, the author of a blog about extortion in schools and kindergartens in Tatarstan. This was reported to OVD-Info by local activists.

Matveyeva was handcuffed during the arrest, and she was taken to the police station. The blogger is not getting in touch at the moment - her phone was taken away.

Local activists believe that the detention is a reaction to Matveyeva's posts "against the president of Tatarstan."

13:34 OVD-Info was informed that Matveyeva was taken to police department No. 8. According to her husband, the blogger was beaten in the department, and also stripped to his underwear, put in a cell. At the moment, Matveeva and her husband are going for a medical examination.
