In Moscow, an eco -activist was detained during a picket about the "formula of extinction"

In Moscow, eco -activist Konstantin Fokin was detained on Pushkinskaya Square during a single picket. He reported this on his Facebook.

Fokin laid out a banner with a “extinction formula” next to the monument to Pushkin:

Police officers said they want to conduct a “preventive conversation” with an eco -activist. Presumably, Fokina was taken to the police department in the Tverskaya district.

17:30 Fokin was released from the Tver AFD with a protocol under the article on violation of the “Self -isolation mode” (Article 20.6.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). A banner was seized from an eco -activist. Fokin's case will be considered by the Tver District Court.

• Ecocactivist Konstantin Fokin regularly encounters persecution by the state due to participation in various public events. So, only in December 2020 he was detained due to three different actions: attempts to make an inscription on the fence against the cutting of the Kuntsevsky Park, the “seated picket” on Red Square with a “stop ecocide” poster and a shares in defense of the apple garden on the Slavic Boulevard in Moscow. Due to the last detention, Fokin was appointed administrative arrest for 10 days.
