In Izhevsk, a participant in last year’s picket in defense of women was detained to draw up a report.

In Izhevsk, police detained Dmitry Morozov, a member of the Russian Socialist Movement. He reported this to the OVD-Info hotline.

Morozov was taken to the police department in the Oktyabrsky district to draw up a protocol due to the action against violence against women, which took place on November 25, 2020. The detainee was charged with an article on repeated violation of the rules for participation in the action (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

18:51 Morozov was left at the department for the night. His case will be considered on January 23 by the Oktyabrsky District Court of Izhevsk.

• On January 19, Maria Poroshina, another participant in an action against gender-based violence, was fined 5,000 rubles.
• Morozov has repeatedly faced pressure due to protest activities: he is being checked under the article on inciting hatred or enmity (Article 282 of the Criminal Code) in the wake of actions against deforestation. In November, the police came to Morozov and his relatives' homes because of the same actions.
