In Pskov, employees of the Center for Combating Extremism detained the coordinator of the headquarters of Alexei Navalny in the region of Alexei Dorozhkin. He himself told about this to the correspondent of the North.
He said that the Major of the Center “E” Dmitry Baykov, along with two police officers, came to his house, handed the agenda asking him to appear in the police to give explanations and immediately demanded that he follow the department with him. Dorozhkin noted that Baykov promised that he would be held in the police for no more than an hour.
“This is pressure to freedom. They are trying to intimidate us,” says Dorozhkin.
At the same time, the head of the district authorized police officer Lieutenant Colonel Zhegulov came to the office of the Pskov Province newspaper and presented a warning about the inadmissibility of public order violation of the chief editor of the publication Denis Kamalyagin (recognized as an individual performing the functions of a foreign agent).
In the warning, Kamalyagin is called one of the organizers of the action in support of Navalny, which will be held in Pskov on January 23. Kamalyagin refused to sign in the document. He noticed that he was working as a journalist and told the policeman that he had come to the media and communicates with correspondents.
Zhegulov replied that he did not come to the press, but to a specific person and added that "some of your company sign in a warning." To the question of which company is talking about, the policeman could not answer.
“The paradoxical police approach: they come to warn the press and call it the organizers of the event. I am already silent that there were no calls on my part. To include journalists in the rally participants - well, a miracle, of course. This is how to include a man of riot police - give them a warning for the organization,” commented on the public visit of the Pskov province.
