In the largest cities of Russia on January 23, shares were held in support of the politician Alexei Navalny, who was sent into custody after returning to Russia from Germany on suspicion of evading the control of the Federal Penitentiary Service. In the shares, according to the supporters of Navalny, about 250 thousand people took part in total. In most cases, the rallies were dispersed by the police, this was accompanied by gesture detentions of their participants - in total, more than three and a half thousand people were detained throughout the country.
