The number of arrests in the Russian capital was a record for a single action. The previous record for detentions was set on July 27, 2019, during demonstrations against the exclusion of independent candidates from the elections to the Moscow City Duma - then 1,373 people were detained.

Across Russia, according to updated data, on January 24, 3,553 people were detained. This is also a record value - before that, the maximum number was 1769 detentions (after the action on June 12, 2017).
