Ivan Zhdanov: "The issue of Navalny has not finally resolved"

The director of the FBK sums up on Facebook some results of protest promotions on January 23, noting that residents of many cities came to inconsistent rallies, including those who are not considered to be protest.

"1. The main achievement is the day I consider the exit for the protest of those cities that are usually not considered protest. The European part of Russia: Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Tver, Rostov-on-Don and many others. These cities could not be called the cities of protest.

In these cities, an investigation about palaces could play a not even less role than the main requirement: Freedom Navalny. Cities: Arkhangelsk, Ufa, Khabarovsk finally ceased to be afraid of anything. Krasnodar overcame total prohibitions. Many very small cities, like Armavir. Of all these cities, there are a lot of inspired messages. New protest cities and new people who have realized their right to go outside.

2. We must not forget that in no city there was no coordination of its holding. Completely banning the rallies, having canceled the effect of the 31st article of the Constitution, they finally pulled out. That is, these are the most massive protest promotions without any coordination in the history of Russia. 3. All this was against the backdrop of an incredible mixture just howling and fakes over all their channels. From an invented story about children to fake policemen (by the way, one major turned out to be real, very cool).

4. St. Petersburg. There was no better city yesterday. The completed Nevsky can be compared with the largest agreed protests on Sakharov. Moscow also filled its streets. The police acted cowardly. They beat people when they understood that somewhere they could be closed. Complete madness began in the evening. People were simply beaten on a Sretenka, color, from the sailor.

5. The Kremlin strategy was clear. Maximum intimidation before the event by criminal. The detention of coordinators and employees of Navalny headquarters. Detention in the east of Russia and a milder strategy in the West. Despite a large number of pictures of unmotivated cruelty of the police in Moscow and St. Petersburg in the cities, so many were released without protocols at all.
