“Sasha, we will not give you the opportunity for all this muck, for which you say <...> we will not let our country break, because - we are patriots,” the other continues.

The teacher mentions that in Leningrad people ate the "sweet earth" during the Second World War, when the factory exploded with sugar. “We hold ruler, but we do not climb into politics,” she says.
