Delimkhanov’s assistant: the deputy spoke about “legal assistance” for a Chechen who fought with riot police on Pushkinskaya Square

An assistant to State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov and a representative of the Union of Chechen Youth, Rustam Tapaev , told the radio station “Moscow Speaks” that in the translation of Delimkhanov’s video about a Chechen who had a fight with riot police, “a few accents were slightly shifted . ”

Tapaev assured that when the deputy spoke about help, he meant “legal assistance.” “If you ended up there by accident, and it turned out that you started to fight or the police started beating you, then contact us, we will help you organize a lawyer, everything related to legal assistance to help your family and you,” Tapaev cited his version of the translation of Delimkhanov's words.

Delimkhanov’s assistant Tatyana Lazina, in a conversation with the publication “Rise,” repeated that the deputy was talking “specifically about legal assistance, since the young man violated the law, this means some kind of legal support, hiring a lawyer, for example, if necessary.”

On January 23, a video from Pushkin Square appeared on social networks, in which a young man entered into hand-to-hand combat with several riot police armed with batons. The next day, the adviser to the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, Delimkhanov offered him help: “If you don’t recognize their (protesters’ – MZ) position, Ramzan-haji, our padishah, said that he will help you with what concerns the law, only you will appear.”
