Today, January 30, in Moscow, during a walk with his son, our colleague, chief editor of Mediazons Sergey Smirnov was detained. The security forces in body armor were waiting for him in the entrance.

Against the journalist, a protocol on participation in the action on January 23 with interference in the work of transport (part 6.1 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) was drawn up. He is left at night at the Tver police department before the court session. At the same time, Sergey Smirnov, who received an official warning before this action, was at home on January 23, which, of course, is easy to check.

The editorial office of the goat expresses its support to Sergey and requires its immediate liberation, and also considers it to be detained by an attempt to intimidate all journalists, covering Russia's domestic policy.

The pressure of the authorities on the media is unacceptable.
