At the editor-in-chief "Mediazons" drew up a protocol due to the action on January 23

On the detained editor -in -chief of the Mediazone, Sergei Smirnov issued a protocol for participating in a rally with a traffic overlap (part 6.1 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was announced by the journalist of the publication Yegor Skovoroda.

According to him, Smirnov did not leave the house on January 23 and did not participate in the protest campaign. The chief expense of the publication is left in the Tver police department for the night before the trial.

The “protest apology” clarified that the detention protocol speaks of part 8 of this article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation of the rally rules). Smirnov faces up to 30 days of arrest.

The Union of Russian Journalists intends to request information from the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in connection with the detention of the editor -in -chief of the Mediazone Sergey Smirnov. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the chairman of the SDR, Vladimir Solovyov.

Today, in Moscow, at the exit from the house, Sergei Smirnov was detained by the editor -in -chief of the Mediazones. “Yes, [detained] near the house, on Mayakovskaya. They did not explain [the detention], they are taken to the Tver branch,” said Smirnov “MBH Media”.

On January 23, more than 100 Russian cities were held in support of Alexei Navalny. According to “MBH Media”, at least 110 thousand people took part in them.
