
Representatives of social networks Tiktok, Facebook, Telegram and VKontakte were called to Roskomnadzor, as they did not delete calls to participate in inconsistent promotions. This was reported on the official website of the department.
“Roskomnadzor sent a letter to the leadership of social networks with a request to arrive to explain the liability of these platforms for the failure of the calls to participate in illegal mass shares,” the report said.
The department recalled that according to Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for violations of the procedure for restricting access to prohibited information to the owners of the site or information resource may face a fine of 800 thousand to 4 million rubles. In the case of a repeated violation, the amount of the fine will be increased to one tenth combined amount of the annual revenue amount. In addition, the legislation allows you to block prohibited information, if it was not deleted, the department indicated.
On January 23, more than 100 Russian cities were held in support of Alexei Navalny. According to MBH Media, at least 110 thousand people took part in them.
