The Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested local resident Kirill Bogdanov in the case of using violence against a security officer (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code) at a rally in support of politician Alexei Navalny. This was reported by the joint press service of the city courts.
The Petersburger was arrested until March 30.
According to the court, during the rally on January 31, Bogdanov took part in a rally on Sennaya Square. The demonstrator, “acting deliberately and illegally,” twice punched the torso of the squad leader of mobile platoon No. 1 of battalion No. 1 in the Admiralteysky district, causing him “physical pain and moral harm.”
In addition, according to the court, Bogdanov hit another security officer in the back.
The Petersburg resident admitted guilt. The defense emphasized that he has elderly relatives dependent on him, so he does not intend to hide from the court.
