The reflector of the Moscow Philharmonic Stas Semenyuk, who projected the inscription “Freedom to political prisoners” in the building of the musical institution, quit, said Igor Yakovlev, member of the Yabloko party on Facebook.

“After four days of pressure, not only on him, but also on his colleagues in the department, he wrote a statement of dismissal of his own free will,” said Yakovlev. He added that the authorities did not demand from Semyenyuk to work out two weeks after submitting the application.

On January 31, during the rally in support of the politician Alexei Navalny on the wall in the Tchaikovsky concert hall, the inscription “Freedom to political prisoners” appeared to the purchase of tickets. The photo with the slogan was published by the pianist Varvara Turova, who performed in the Philharmonic that day.

Yakovlev noted that Semenyuk worked in the Moscow Philharmonic for five years.
