Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree approving a list of indicators by which the efficiency of the governors and governments of the Russian regions will be assessed.
There are a total of 20 performance indicators in the document. In the first place is "trust in the authorities" - that is, the president and the leadership of the region - on the part of the population. This level is measured "including by evaluating public opinion regarding the achievements in the subjects of the Russian Federation of the national development goals of Russia."
Employees of his office will have to report to the president on the values of this indicator by region before March 1 of each year.
Among other criteria by which the effectiveness of governors will be determined, there are, for example, the level of poverty (fourth place), the level of education (seventh place), the quality of the urban environment (13th place). The growth rates of real wages and real income of the population are in 16th and 17th places, respectively.
There are 20 criteria in total. The last place in it is occupied by the “digital maturity” of the authorities in the region.
