From January 23 to February 2, Moscow courts received 4,908 administrative cases related to protests. This was reported in the press service of the Moscow City Court.
54 cases were opened under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (Disobedience to the lawful order of a police officer). All other cases - under Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (Violation of the procedure for organizing or holding a public event).
Moscow courts have already managed to consider 2204 administrative cases. Of these, 35 under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (30 citizens were arrested, five were fined) and 2169 under Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (942 citizens were arrested, 1227 were fined).
Thus, at the moment, 1232 people have been fined for participating in protests. Another 972 people were placed under administrative arrest.
In St. Petersburg, the courts considered a total of 1,430 cases. In 354 cases, the persons involved in the cases were arrested, 659 people were fined.
