The Friday meeting in the case of Ivan Golunov begins almost on time, with a delay for only half an hour. But there are very few journalists into the hall - only three. On the same day, the same day is considered another case against Alexei Navalny - apparently, most of the judicial reporters work there. “Soon we will be left without a press,” says Judge Sergey Gruzdev.
The previous two meetings were rather boring: the prosecutor simply read the case materials. True, there were interesting moments : for example, recordings from surveillance cameras, which showed that the accused could throw drugs immediately after the detention, when there were already handcuffs. Or a video from the same cameras and data on the geolocation of cell phones of the accused, who prove that they are three days before the detention - and along with the witnesses - they were on duty near the house where the Medusa special corner lived.
But the Friday meeting promised to be more interesting: the prosecutor Tatyana Parshintseva filed a petition for the interrogation of the witness Sergei Kuznetsova. This is one of the witnesses during the detention of Golunov-and already in the department with Kuznetsov (on the day the police officers threw the drugs on the Medusa specialist), Lyakhovets greeted in a friendly way . Moreover, Kuznetsov was in a medical mask, and Lyakhovets told him: “Hello, Seryoga! Are you sick? " Golunov then began to find out from Lyakhovts, whether he was familiar with Kuznetsov, but the Lyakhovets was embarrassed and said that he simply asked his well -being, and saw the name of the understood in the documents.
The bailiffs are being brought into the hall of a guy of about 25 in black sports pants, a sweatshirt with a hood and a gray hat. He approaches the department, and Judge Gruzdev asks him to take off his hat: "You are still indoors, but your hat is not uniform." Kuznetsov removes the mask at the same time. His face is a little childish, strewn with red acne.
The judge asks Kuznetsov which of the accused to him. He replies that he saw everyone during the detention and after him. The judge asks how exactly he turned out to be understood.
“My old acquaintance Yegor called me, asked me to help me to participate in the detention of understood,” Kuznetsov replies (more about Yegor the witness will be questioned later).
At the initial interrogation, Kuznetsov claimed that at the scene of Golunov he was “by chance”: “On his weekend” he arrived from Lublino to the Tsvetnoy Boulevard area to take a walk in the center of Moscow.
“He explained to you what kind of crime will be there?” - asks the prosecutor.
- No, he said that they would contact me. They contacted me, asked to come to Tsvetnoy Boulevard. There one of the employees [Konovalov] met me. Then we went along the street, came to a silver car. At this time, no events took place. I went to the store to take water, came, and already detained it.
Kuznetsov explains that police officers and Kolunov “just stood” and there were already handcuffs on Kolunov. Golunov himself in his testimony said that the witnessed Kuznetsov got into his car.
- Golunov resisted, tried to break free? - asks the prosecutor.
“No, there wasn’t that,” Kuznetsov shakes his head. -He said that he would participate [in operational-search events] in the presence of a lawyer.
Then Kuznetsov tells about the events already known for previous meetings: the operatives brought him and Golunov to the police department, Ivan asked him to show the contents of the backpack, but he himself could not remove the backpack, because he was handcuffs. When the backpack was removed and opened from him, substances were “discovered” in it.
“Golunov explained that this is not his,” said Kuznetsov. Then Golunova was taken to the examination, and after his completion of the blacksmiths, along with Kolunov and the operatives, he went home to the Medusa specialist - to search for his apartment.
First, the operatives examined the room, then they began to study the kitchen and the corridor. From the testimony of Golunov, it is known that during the search, the operative Denis Konovalov temporarily disappeared from the field of view of the witnesses: he went beyond the closet, and then asked the others to be checked on the closet.
- When did Konovalov ask to look at the closet? - asks the prosecutor.
“Konovalov asked to look at the closet when the room was already examined and [we] were in the corridor or in the kitchen,” says Kuznetsov. - When we moved to the corridor and the kitchen, one of the employees disappeared from sight.
- Who was it?
- Konovalov.
- Have you received a reward? - suddenly asks the prosecutor.
“Yes, they gave it in a taxi - from one and a half to two thousand,” Kuznetsov replies.
- Who gave?
Kuznetsov points with his hand to the “aquarium”, then clarifying: “Umetbaev”.
- Did Konovalov contact you after the event [the detention of Golunov and the search at his house]? - asks the prosecutor
“I don’t remember,” Kuznetsov replies.
After that, the defenders of the accused receive the right to ask questions, but for most of their questions, the blacksmiths answer that he does not remember anything.
- Did physical strength apply to Golunov?
- I don't remember.
- Who escorted Golunov into the apartment?
- I don't remember.
- When Konovalov went behind the closet, was he in gloves?
- I don't remember.
And so about a dozen questions. Then the defendants themselves receive the right to interrogate the witness.
- Are your rights and obligations explained to you? - asks Sergaliev.
“Yes, it was,” Kuznetsov nods.
-Did anyone threaten Golunov to the dog? - asks Sergaliev.
“Akbar Aliyevich,” the judge says reproachfully, “you are not charged with violence against animals.”
“Well, Golunov just said [that threatened],” Sergaliev justifies.
“Well, answer,” the judge Kuznetsova says with a sigh.
“There wasn’t that,” says Kuznetsov.
- Was there a pressure from the media on you? Are the words of threats expressed?
-Correspondents wanted something from me to give comments. Once only correspondents wrote to a friend VKontakte that if I do not get in touch, something will be against me, ”Kuznetsov recalls.
The next questions are asked by Lyakhovets. Kuznetsov does not look at him and thinks about each question for a long time.
- When did you first see me? - asks Lyakhovets.
- I don't remember.
- We were familiar with you before [before the detention of Golunov]? - asks Lyakhovets.
Kuznetsov falls silent for a long time. Then he still says:
- I don't remember.
At the previous meeting, the prosecutor announced the data on the geolocation of cell phones, from which it followed that the former police officers were on duty in front of Golunov’s house for three days before his detention - June 4, 5 and 6. Lyakhovets also came there, and all day on June 5 - from eight in the morning to 10 pm - Kuznetsov was also near the house of Golunov.
- Well, did you know this person or not? - the judge intervenes.
The pause hangs again.
“I don’t remember,” Kuznetsov answers again.
Further questions are asked by the judge himself.
“For some reason, no one asked-I will ask,” he says. - Who is Yegor who called you?
“He was a district police officer in our house,” says Kuznetsov. - When [the family] consisted [inaudible: apparently, registered in the inspection] for minors.
- Often he called you?
- No.
- Did he contact you again?
- One or twice.
Golunov’s lawyer from the “Human Rights Cards” Sergey Badamshin asks Yegor’s last name, but her Kuznetsov does not remember: “It was a long time ago.”
- Where did he work? - asks Badamshin. Kuznetsov does not remember.
The prosecutor asks for permission to read the testimony of Kuznetsov, given at the stage of the preliminary investigation, because between them and the testimony in court there are significant contradictions, the judge agrees, and the prosecutor reads from the case. In them, Kuznetsov says that he was called to be understood on the condition that he would be “thanked in monetary terms”. There are several additional details in them: for example, that Golunova’s dog bark loudly when they went to his apartment, and that during the search, Konovalov had a large fabric bag with him.
Kuznetsov confirms all these own testimonies.
“Did you use a taxi in the end?” - clarifies the judge.
“Yes,” says Kuznetsov.
- How much did it cost?
- In this amount.
- What was the time of the day? Could you leave only by taxi? - asks the judge.
- In fact, yes.
On this, Judge Gruzdev finishes the interrogation of the witness and the meeting. The next hearing will be held on February 9 at 12:30.
