Mikhail Efremov was transferred from a penal colony in the Belgorod region to Moscow

Actor Mikhail Efremov, convicted of a fatal road accident , was transferred from a penal colony in the Belgorod region. His lawyer Pyotr Kharkhorin told RBC about this.

According to the defense attorney, the actor was taken from the colony on the evening of February 4. The lawyer did not specify where Efremov was being transferred.

The Life publication, citing a source, writes that the actor was transferred to Moscow. According to Mash, this was done before the consideration of the cassation appeal against the sentence.

Updated : The Federal Penitentiary Service officially announced that Efremov was transferred “to participate in investigative actions,” without specifying details.

• Efremov had been in Penal Colony No. 4 in the Belgorod Region since the beginning of December.
• Initially, the court sentenced Efremov to eight years in prison. On appeal, the term was reduced to seven and a half years.
