Deanon in Belarus: telegram channels with personal data of security forces work even after the arrest of admins and claims Apple

On Friday, in Gomel, a sentence was sentenced to the 15-year-old administrator of the telegram channel “Data of the punishers of Belarus”. The teenager posted there personal data of police officers who duplicated from other telegram channels and publics. The court decided to send him for two years to the “Closed type special educational institution”, that is, to the colony, the “Younger”.

The telegram channel "Data of the punishers of Belarus" appeared in August. The security forces were able to calculate his administrator in October. According to all articles of the Criminal Code by which the boy passed the suspect - slander, a public insult to a representative of the authorities, illegal collecting or disseminating information about private life - criminal liability occurs from 16 years. Nevertheless, the court decided to send a schoolboy for two years to the Special Institution.

Now it is the youngest political prisoner in Belarus.

Telegram channels with personal data began to appear in Belarus in the very first days of protests: “Black Book of Belarus”, “Belarusian terrorists”, “The punishers of Belarus”, “Data of the punishers of Belarus”, “All violations”. First, the personal data of riot police, fighters of special forces and leaders of law enforcement agencies were published there. Now that the courts in criminal cases are going on in Belarus, investigators, prosecutors, and judges fall on black lists. Moreover, these do not even need to deanonymize-their surnames become known during the processes, journalists take pictures of them, and photographs are published not only in media, but also in telegram channels like a “black book”.

Deanon in Belarus appeared as an Internet that, but quickly moved to offline. In September, unknown people set fire to the village house, in which the commander of the Minsk OMON Dmitry Balaba grew up. And recently, the court sentenced the student to one and a half years, who, using the data published in the telegram channel, came to an apartment building, in which Balab and other riot police live, and wrote on the wall “Balab-killer”. The commander of riot police did not appear in court, but sent a representative with a civil lawsuit: for moral suffering, he demanded from the student 1000 Belarusian rubles ($ 380). Now Minskers with posters and white-red-white flags come to the house of the Balaba. They do not chant anything, do not suit rallies - they just stand with flags.

Those who are deanon of the Belarusian security forces call themselves cyberpartisans. They, however, not only publish the personal data of the punishers. Cyberpartisans, for example, hacking sites of state structures. In the fall, the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was hacked, and an announcement on the search for Lukashenko appeared on the main page.

And the broadcast of the main state channel "Belarus-1" on YouTube was once interrupted, and instead of the successes of the Belarusian harvesting on the screen, shots of protest actions appeared.

By the way, in order to become cyber -partisan, it is not at all necessary to be a programmer or hacker. Everyone has their own professional capabilities and tricks. On January 22, the court of Pervomaisky district of Minsk sentenced the postman to Larisa Tonkoskur to three months of arrest under article 179 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (“illegal collection and dissemination of information about private life”). Larisa, spreading mail, once realized that in those apartments where she brings the departmental police newspaper “on guard”, there are employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - no one else would write out this. And she handed the addresses and surnames of 35 subscribers to the Chat administrator of the Lebyazhi microdistrict, on the territory of which they live. In my opinion, Larisa may well be the commander of the Cyber ​​Partizan detachment.

In October, Apple demanded from Pavel Durov to block the channels “The punishers of Belarus”, “All Violations” and “Chat of the Group Punishers” for the publication of personal data. On October 8, Pavel Durov wrote in his telegram channel: “They are afraid that the publication of personal information of law enforcement officers and propagandists can provoke violence. I think that this situation is not so unambiguous, and I would prefer not to touch the channels, but in such situations, Apple, as a rule, leaves no choice for applications like Telegram. Unfortunately, I think that these channels will ultimately be blocked on iOS, but will remain available on other platforms. ” The founder of the NEXTA and Nexta Live channels Stepan Putilo turned to subscribers calling for Android. And he has subscribers - one and a half million on one channel and 800 thousand - on the other. They immediately began to make posts on social networks with a hashtag #AppleCensorsblarus.

The next day, October 9, Apple representatives refuted Durov’s words and said that they did not require blocking of the channels at all, but only demanded to delete personal data on user complaints. As a result, all deanon channels are still working, despite the arrests of the administrators (the administrator of the Black Book of Belarus was arrested at the end of October) and the real hunt for telegram users:

On Friday, by one and a half years, home “chemistry” was sentenced to a commentary in the telegram channel, Minsk resident Alexei Mochalov, and a week earlier to two years of the same home “chemistry”-Dmitry Usitsky. It seems that independent media and sites are forgotten, all the detective efforts of the Belarusian security forces are reduced by the ubiquitous telegram. And Deanon, of course, continues.

Of course, Deanon fails. Back in August, the first promoters who left the surroundings said that among the riot police there was a woman - a blonde named Kristina, who sadistic beat the detainees, especially women. Users of social networks immediately found an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Kristina Casana, a blonde. The next day, the video of the crying Christina, who had never been to the surroundings, said throughout Belarus, said that she was simply teaching at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and that because of someone’s mistake now he receives threats and insults. After this video, Christina received hundreds of apologies from Belarusians.

Errors, of course, happen. Cyberpartisans are also people. But their business is noble, not only for Belarusians, but also for the punishers themselves. At least now the perpetrators in repressions will know that their names were revealed. So, they have time to disappear, wash off, escape before they have to bear responsibility.
