Chechen police say they took accomplices of Islamist underground: gay and transgender on hormonal therapy

On February 4, in Nizhny Novgorod, two representatives of the Chechen LGBT community: Salekh Magamadov and Ismail Isaev (the last 17 years old, he was born in March 2003*)-were detained by employees of the unidentified power unit, presumably the Russian Guard in Nizhny Novgorod. The detention, apparently, was also attended by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Gudermes. This became known from the words of the inquiry officer, who appeared at the scene (in the apartment in which Magomades and Isaev lived and which the security forces were defeated during the detention of young people, as if they were delayed especially dangerous criminals).

The inquiry officer arrived at the request of a crime (abduction), on the same day, to the duty unit of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate for Nizhny Novgorod, lawyer Alexander Nemov, acting in the interests of Magomadov and Isaev.

When the investigator took explanations from the lawyer, a colleague called her (the lawyer of the Nemov suggests that it was the police officer on duty)

And he said that young people were not abducted, but detained as part of the long and close cooperation of the Chechen and Nizhny Novgorod security officials.

The detainees were then transferred to the Chechen policeman for forced delivery to the Chechen Republic. The inquiry officer confirmed the fact that the Chechen police, along with the detainees, had already left Nizhny Novgorod, but refused to explain to the lawyer Nemov, which exactly was motivated by force actions regarding his customers, one of which, I repeat, is a minor.

That same night, the Nemov’s lawyer flew to Chechnya and at 13 o’clock on February 5 came to Gudermes and immediately went to the Gudermes police department. The lawyer with difficulty, but managed to break through to the deputy chief of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Gudermes Dzhamaliev. The latter first denied that he knew about the detention of Magamadov and Isaev. But Alexander Nemov said that the information that the detainees were transferred to the Gudermes policeman came from the employees of the Nizhny Novgorod Central Internal Affairs Directorate and it is pointless to deny it.

Then Dzhamaliev was forced to admit that Magamadov and minor Isaev were indeed among the Chechen police officers,

who carry out their forced drive as witnesses in a criminal case. Jamaliev even called and talked with these police in the presence of Nemov’s lawyer and found out that at 14.00 they were with those detained in Armavir and in Chechnya, approximately had to arrive at 19 o’clock in the evening.

Details about the criminal case (at least when and under what article it was aroused) the deputy chief of the Gudermes OMVD did not disclose, but promised that as soon as Magamadov and Isaev would be questioned, they would be released and given to a lawyer. The Nemov’s lawyer demanded that his meeting with the detainees immediately upon arrival in Chechnya, as well as his participation in the course of interrogation (in relation to the minor Isaev, is different and impossible: the law categorically prescribes the participation of the legal representative in any investigative actions, therefore the detention carried out by the Nizhny Novgorod security forces and is illegal; to abandon the legal representative or replace it with others himself A minor cannot).

In addition, the lawyer of Nemov asked why such unmotivated strict actions as forced drive had to be taken in relation to witnesses. It was simply possible to transfer the order to the Nizhny Novgorod colleagues on the interrogation of Magomadov and Isaev.

Jamaliev replied: "We know better what and how to interrogate them."

At 19 o’clock the detained Magamadov and Isaev did not appear in Chechnya, and the lawyer of Nemov filed an application for the illegal retention of his customers to the Chechen Republican Prosecutor's Office and the Chechen Investigative Committee, that is, on exceeding the Hudermmes OMVD. Applications of the lawyer were accepted and “snapped” (recorded in the book of accounting for messages about the crime).

Last summer, Ismail Isaev and Salekh Magamadov, who at that time living in Chechnya, turned to the hotline of the Russian LGBTS. Ismail Isaev said that by that time he had been detained twice by the Chechen security officials. The first time this happened in August 2019 - in connection with its homosexual orientation. At that time, Isaev was 16 years old.

As follows from his statement, he was beaten, kept in an unknown place (the basement of one of the police departments) and released after 7 days. According to Isaev, his mother paid 300 & 000 rubles for his release.

After that, he left Chechnya and lived in St. Petersburg.

Meanwhile, on March 8 last year, the Admin of the Telegram “Osal Nah 95” was detained in Chechnya. The group “Osal Nah 95” consisted of young people 17–20 years old, positioning themselves atheists. In the group, they are very slotted in places, in the style of Charlie Ebdo cartoons, mocked the Islamic and Chechen traditions. I must say that the level of critical statements, plentifully flavored with obscenities, corresponded to the age, development and formation of group members - for the most part yesterday's teenagers. Ismail Isaev and Salekh Magamadov, among others, were the administrators of the channel.

On March 30, 2020, other participants of Osal Nah 95 were detained. Saleh was detained in Grozny, and Ismail in St. Petersburg. At the place of his residence, Chechens came in civilian clothes, forcibly taken out by plane to Vladikavkaz, and then by cars to Chechnya.

According to Isaev and Magamadov, they were placed in the cellars of one of the barracks on the basis of the regiment of the patrol service. A. Kadyrov. During the abduction and transportation from St. Petersburg to Chechnya, Ismail Isaev rose the temperature. He made a test for coronavirus (made a nurse), placed in a separate cell in the basement and watered all the time with alcohol. In the following days, Nobody beat and interrogated Isaev, apparently, they were afraid to become infected. They occasionally measured the temperature and brought food. In addition, during the period of illness, along with other members of the Osal Nah 95 group, they forced to record a video with a video: for the fact that the members of the group insulted religion and committed unworthy acts.

Especially the Chechen security forces was angry with the fact that group participants often placed in their group the images of Christian crosses and LGBT Flagi, thereby calling for tolerance.

Videos with an apology then appeared in the proxy Chechen public on Instagram. The federal media wrote about this. The video clearly shows that Isaev is really seriously ill.

As indicated in the Russian LGBT networks conducted by the Poll Ismail Isaev and Salekh Magamadov, all members of the group (27 people were detained) forced to recognize the existence of God, as well as to teach the Qur'an, the biography of Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov and the hymns of the Chechen Republic and the Russian Federation. Re -education (except for torture directly) was shot on video, very often a mullah came to the regiment and conducted religious classes with members of the group. When members of the telegram group of atheists made mistakes when reading the Qur'an, Mullah beat them with a thin stick. Apparently, in about the same way in Soviet times, believers forced to renounce God and teach the history of the Communist Party instead of the Bible.

Mullah, according to the testimonies of Isaev and Magamadov, said that he was sending records to the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, on whom the exemption of the detainees depends.

In early May, when the federal media wrote about the detention of members of the Osal 95 group (they became aware of this on the fact of the publication of videos with apologies and the renunciation of the 10 detainees themselves), Isaev and Magamadov was released in the entire group of the detainees. However, before being released, they took a receipt with an obligation about cooperation. They were still supposed to administer the Osal 95 group, involving and handing over to the police other Chechen atheists.

In early July, Isaev and Magamadov left the Chechen Republic and turned for help to the Russian LGBT network.

They were hidden in Nizhny Novgorod, but all this time the Chechen police officers tried to find them and force them to cooperate.

Voice correspondence with one of the employees under the nickname “The Way of the Righteous” is at the disposal of “Novaya Gazeta”.

We handed it over to the adat telegram channel to identify the personality of the policeman. According to the telegram channel adat, the voice on these records is similar to the voice of an employee of the regiment of the patrol and post service named after A. Kadyrov Idris Sugaipov, also known under the call sign “Hacker”. It was Sugaipov who previously managed to identify members of the Osal Nakh 95 group, in his track record and other successful operations to identify the Internet critics of the Chechen government and the orders that it imposes violence in the republic.

At the moment, lawyer Alexander Nemov is still in Chechnya and is looking for his customers. On the fact of the detention of Isaev and Magamadov, Russian and international human rights organizations made statements. The lawyers of the Russian LGBT networks applied to the European Court of Human Rights to apply the Rules of Protocol 39 and oblige the Russian authorities to immediately provide protection to Isaev and Magamadov.

At about five o’clock in the evening on February 6, Alexander Nemov said that his clients Ismail Isaev and Salekh Magamadov were delivered today to the Gudermes OMVD. & Both interrogated as witnesses in the case, to which, according to the lawyer, they had nothing to explain in which they could not explain anything. The interrogation of both lasted literally five minutes and was quite obviously an empty formality. & Nevertheless, & both witnesses continued to be held in the Hudermes OMVD, not allowing them to talk with a lawyer and with his father. The father of both guys (they are their native brothers, only Salekh’s surname) caused this morning from the hospital, where he was treated for complications associated with coronaviral infection. All this time, he was put on pressure so that he refuses the services of a lawyer Nemov.

During this time, the lawyer Nemov filed more than a dozen complaints to various instances and, finally, with the scandal, he achieved the release of his customers.

But as soon as Isaev and Magamadov went beyond the gates of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Gudermes, they were met by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Servovodskiy district of Chechnya and presented a new resolution on the next forced drive in the case, which was now initiated in the Sulfurovod OMVD. & And this case, neither the Magamadov, nor nothing to do with the lawyer, & do not have anything, & do not have anything. however,

They were again detained (as witnesses) by employees of the Sernovodsk OMVD and taken away in an unknown direction.

Refusal of a lawyer

After a meeting with the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Chechen Republic, the father refused the services of lawyer Alexander Nemov to protect his sons.

Ismail Isaev and Saleh Magomades continue to be held by the Chechen police for the second day. At the moment, they are in the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Sernovodsk district of Chechnya.

The authorities of Chechnya can blame the & from Nizhny Novgorod Salekh Magamadov and Ismail Isaev to participate in illegal armed formation (NVF). The police handed over the detainees to the lawyer Mark Alekseev & note, which says that the stolen people were wanted.
