The defendant in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case was extended his detention in a punishment cell for another 10 days.

Teymur Abdullayev, a defendant in the Simferopol case of Hizb ut-Tahrir, has been extended his term of detention in a punishment cell (SHIZO) in correctional colony No. 2 of Bashkortostan. This is reported by "Crimean Solidarity", referring to the mother of the convict, Dilyara Abdullayeva.

“On February 5, I called the special department of the colony - how is my son’s health, how is he, because tomorrow his term ends. To which they made it clear to me that he was still in the ShIZO and now they have extended it for another 10 days, ”said Dilyara Abdullayeva.

The mother of the political prisoner stressed that her son has been kept for almost a year in degrading conditions that threaten his health and life.

During the previous placement in the ShIZO, the colony officers also did not explain the grounds for such a punishment.

• The defendants in the Hizb ut-Tahrir Simferopol case were convicted under articles of involvement in a terrorist organization. After the appeal, the terms were: Teymur Abdullayev - 16.5 years, Rustem Ismailov - 13.5, Uzeyir Abdullayev - 12.5, Emil Dzhemadenov and Ayder Saledinov - 11.5 years in a strict regime colony. Rustem Ismailov and the Abdullayev brothers were transferred to the colony in April.
• Five defendants in the case were detained in November 2016 after a series of searches in the homes of Crimean Tatars. In December of the same year, Saledinov, Ismailov and Uzeyir Abdullayev stated that they were beaten by FSB officers while being transported to the investigation.
• Hizb ut-Tahrir was recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. In this regard, criminal cases are initiated in different regions of the country, while the defendants are sentenced to various terms in a strict regime colony only on the basis that they met in apartments, read religious literature and spread their ideas. According to a number of experts, Hizb ut-Tahrir was unlawfully recognized as a terrorist organization, since its members in Russia did not prepare or carry out terrorist acts.
