The Ufa administration refused to approve a rally against political repression, scheduled for February 23. This was reported by MBKh Media with reference to the organizer of the action, the deputy of the Kurultai of Bashkiria, Dmitry Chuvilin.
Officials in the refusal referred to restrictive measures in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.
“We wanted to hold an action against political repressions and against the increase in tariffs for utilities, so that people could have their say. The authorities constantly reproach that people go to illegal rallies. Another refusal to approve showed that it is impossible to hold a legal action here,” Chuvilin said.
