
In Krasnoyarsk, a criminal investigation was completed about dog attacks on people who led to victims. The case was initiated against Evgeny Petryuk, the former head of the "Directorate of Roads, Infrastructure and Improvement" of the Krasnoyarsk administration. The ex-official is accused of negligence, resulting in the death of two or more people, the regional department of the UK reports .
The prosecutor's office approved the indictment to transfer the case to court. This is the first thing in Russia, related to the fatal attacks of stray dogs, which came to the court, TASS was told in the Investigative Committee.
According to investigators, from October 2019 to February 2020, Petyuk did not provide control over the numbers of stray animals that began to attack people. As a result of attacks, two people, including a child, were injured, and four residents of the city died.
