The Belarusian police detained 68 people at the Ogonyok recreation center near the town of Smolevichi, where a musical concert was being held. The official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, Olga Chemodanova , said that an “illegal action” was stopped there. According to her, “under the guise of a musical party <…> activists of destructive telegram channels gathered.”
There are minors among the detainees. In relation to their parents, a check has been launched “on the fact of their failure to fulfill their obligations to raise children.” For adult detainees, protocols were drawn up on violation of the procedure for organizing mass events.
The police said that the concert participants used white-red-white symbols - in the colors of the flag, which has become a symbol of protests against Alexander Lukashenko.
Tut.by reports that the concert was attended by the groups RSP (“Razbіtae serets patsan”), Panska Moc and Ok-Band, as well as singer Valeria Surovitskaya (Lear). The musicians were also detained.
