“Svobodnye Novosti” from Saratov, at the request of Roskomnadzor, removed the news about the action with flashlights

The Saratov edition of Svobodnye Novosti received a notification from Roskomnadzor demanding to remove the news about the action of supporters of Alexei Navalny “Love is stronger than fear”. Roskomnadzor reported that the news contains calls for participation in mass events held in violation of the established procedure.

The news that caused claims by the department was published on February 9. It told about the post on Twitter by the head of Navalny's network of headquarters, Leonid Volkov, who announced the action on February 14. At the same time, the news did not disclose the essence of the action and did not indicate the exact time and place of its holding.

Svobodnye Novosti removed the news from the site. The editors said that they were going to appeal against the requirement of Roskomnadzor.
