A rally was held in the center of Kazan “against detentions and repression and changes in elected law”.
According to the Rain TV channel, the authorities agreed on the action of the millennium with the number of participants up to 200 people. The area was installed on the square for which the police missed the permitted number of participants. According to Rain correspondents, there are still 100-150 people outside the framework.
Kommersant reports that about a thousand people came to the action. The same assessment is given by the Kazan edition of Business Online.
The organizers of the action were representatives of Yabloko, Parnasa and the Left Front. Kommersant noted that in Kazan there was a unique case of coordination of the political action in Russia - for the first time since March 2020, when restrictions were introduced in connection with the pandemia of coronavirus.
Update. OVD-Info reports that after the rally the police detained nine people.
