Roskomnadzor closed access to the Spektr website in Russia "due to information containing calls for participation in mass events held in violation of the established procedure."
Access to the site, follows from the notification of Roskomnadzor, which Spektr publishes on its Telegram channel, is limited based on the decision of the Prosecutor General's Office dated February 11. For most users in Russia, the site stopped opening on the evening of February 13th.
The reason for blocking was the article “There is a hunt for Volkov. The Lithuanian authorities refused to arrest the head of the Navalny campaign headquarters at the request of Russia”, published on February 11.
According to Spektr, Roskomnadzor saw in it calls for participation in a rally in support of Alexei Navalny.
“There were no appeals on behalf of the editors of Spektr or the author of the article, but there were quotes from Leonid Volkov’s Twitter,” the publication’s telegram channel emphasizes.
