Department of Health: the Muscovite who spoke about his dismissal due to the flashlight protest did not work as an orderly, but as a cleaner

Saidanvar Sulaimonov, who spoke about layoffs from a hospital for coronavirus patients due to a flashlight campaign, was an employee of a company providing cleaning services. The Department of Health reported this to Mediazona.

“The employee referred to in the publication is an employee of a company that provides cleaning services for hospital premises at the ice palace in Krylatskoye. Accordingly, the employment relationship with the employee is formalized by his employer, and not by the hospital. This employee is not on the staff of City Clinical Hospital No. 67 named after Vorokhobov,” the department reported.

Saidanvar himself told Mediazona that he worked at the hospital as an orderly. He met patients at the reception center, described their belongings and helped them get to the room.

Saidanvar confirmed that he worked unofficially. In a conversation with Meduza, he clarified that he was “hired by a company that distributes orderlies to Moscow hospitals.” According to him, people are looked for “by advertisement, by word of mouth.”

Earlier today, Saidanvar said that he was fired after he was photographed with a flashlight in the red zone as part of the “Love is Stronger than Fear” campaign against political repression.
