Petersburg: The court upheld the sentence to the historian Dmitriev
On February 16, the Third Cassation Court in St. Petersburg confirmed the verdict of the Supreme Court of Karelia in the case of the historian and the head of the republican "memorial" Yuri Dmitrieva, the correspondent of the site of the North Realia reports.
In the cassation appeal, Dmitriev, together with lawyer Viktor Anufriev, expressed claims to the decision of the Supreme Court of the region, who sentenced the head of the Karelian Memorial to 13 years of the colony, and sent part of the case to revise.
The meeting on the complaint of Dmitriev against the decision of the Supreme Court was held closed. Listeners and journalists were present only on the announcement of the court decision.
