The editor-in-chief of Tomsk Week was given a warning before February 23

The police officers handed a warning to the editor-in-chief of Tomskaya Nedelya, Vladimir Guba, ahead of February 23. It is reported by Siberia. MBKh Media.

Law enforcement officers came to Guba's home. “They said they had come to warn me about the ban on attending the rally. The most interesting thing is that I didn’t even know which one, ”he told the correspondent of Siberia. MBKh Media.

It turned out that the police had in mind the action of the Communist Party, scheduled for February 23. The authorities did not agree on the rally, and the activists decided to hold one-man pickets.

Vladimir Guba refused to sign the warning: “This is just a complete lawlessness: two police officers do not know that they are violating article 144 of the Criminal Code , which prohibits obstructing the legal activities of a journalist. As a media representative, I have the right to be present at rallies, pickets, protests, natural disasters - what's the matter?

Guba specified that Tomskaya Nedelya did not announce the shares on February 23rd. Before the actions in support of Alexei Navalny, the police did not disturb him.

• A warning is a document with a requirement not to allow actions that lead to a violation of the law. It is usually given before actions or rallies, but the warning must have real justification. If you do not comply with the requirement, you may be held liable, but only for violating the law as such: the warning itself has no legal force.
• The Communist Party of the Russian Federation announced a mass protest action on February 23, however, the local authorities refuse to agree to the communists, for example in Barnaul , Penza, Ulyanovsk, Ufa , Neftekamsk , Yekaterinburg, Yaroslavl, Tyumen, Vladivostok and Krasnodar . As a result, in most cities the action will be held in the format of laying flowers at memorable places and meetings with deputies, as well as single pickets.
