The eldest son of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko - Viktor Lukashenko - took up the post of president of the National Olympic Committee (NOK). This was reported by BelTA. Earlier, the President of the NOC was Alexander Lukashenko.

Two candidates were put forward to the elections-Alexander Lukashenko and his eldest son Victor, who since 2019 served the position of First Vice President NOC.

“If two candidates were proposed, this is news for me. I thought you would come out with one. I did not plan to be elected for the next term by the head of the Olympic Committee. I’ll ask you if this suits you, I give you my eldest son, ”said the president of Belarus.

The vice president of the NOC was re-elected Dmitry Dovgalenok. The post of first vice president of the NOC was decided to eliminate. Alexander Lukashenko served as president of the committee since 1997.
