A criminal case was opened against the coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters in Nizhny Novgorod under the “sanitary” article

Roman Tregubov, the coordinator of Navalny's Nizhny Novgorod headquarters, was charged with a criminal case under the article on violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules (part 1 of article 236 of the Criminal Code). He published a notification from the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city on his Twitter.

On January 28, the head of the headquarters was taken to the police for interrogation. After that, he received 5 days of arrest, he was charged with organizing the action on January 31. on his Facebook On January 30, a video appeared in which he refuses the post of head of headquarters. Tregubov, through a lawyer, said that he was forced to withdraw the appeal by the police.

• In connection with the actions in support of Alexei Navalny, which took place from January 23 to February 2, at least 90 criminal cases were opened across the country. The protesters were accused of using violence against security forces (Article 318 of the Criminal Code), violating sanitary and epidemiological rules (Part 1 of Article 236 of the Criminal Code), involving minors in illegal activities (Part 2 of Article 151.2 of the Criminal Code), blocking roads (Art. 267 of the Criminal Code) and other articles.
