Ex-policemen accused of kidnapping began to be tried in Novosibirsk

The Soviet District Court of Novosibirsk began considering the case of three police officers from the Zaeltsovsky district of the city, who kidnapped a man and extorted several million from him. For psychological impact, they took the victim to the forest. After the arrest, the defendants were dismissed from law enforcement agencies.

The Soviet District Court began considering the case against ex-policemen A. Larionov, A. Parfentiev and A. Ushaev on charges of committing crimes under paragraph "a, b" part 3 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of official powers), paragraph "a, c, d, h" part 2 of Art. 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abduction of a person with the use of violence, weapons, special means) and paragraph “b” part 3 of Art. 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (extortion in order to obtain property on an especially large scale).

The accused committed "actions that clearly go beyond their powers and entailed a significant violation of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, the legally protected interests of society and the state, with the use of violence and with the threat of its use, with weapons and special means, as well as the kidnapping of a person committed by a group persons by prior agreement.

The court adjourned the meeting until August 18 due to the absence of the ex-policemen's lawyer for the trial.

Taiga.info wrote that employees of the police department No. 3 "Zaeltsovsky" took the man to the forest in the Soviet district, where they began to threaten the victim with a Makarov pistol, demanding 10 million rubles from him, subsequently reducing their demands to 2.5 million rubles.

The police officers were subsequently detained with the participation of the security service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region. Taiga.info's law enforcement source called the accused police officers "young officers."
