SK Belarus put on the wanted list Svetlana Tikhanovskaya and prepared documents about her extradition

The Investigative Committee of Belarus transmitted documents to the General Prosecutor's Office for the extradition of Svetlana Tikhanovskaya. According to the website of the department, an investigation of a criminal case against four proxies of Tikhanovskaya has been completed. Who is in question, the message is not indicated.

"Law enforcement officers received information that people from the closest encirclement of Svetlana Tikhanovskaya were preparing for the mass riots and seizing buildings of state bodies on the territory of Gomel. According to him, the accused and Tikhanovskaya "discussed the plan for organizing riots in Gomel, as well as the seizure of buildings of administrations and executive committees, the appointment instead of the chapters and chairmen of their persons." Having supported the plan, Tikhanovskaya agreed to issue money to purchase electric shockers, gas cans, walkie -talkies, megaphones, microphones and "other objects and guns intended for the commission of a crime."

The main defendants were detained from August 6 to 8, 2020. They are charged under Part 1 of Art. 13, part 2 of Art. 293 (preparation for mass riots) and under Part 1 of Art. 13, part 1 of Art. 292 (preparation for the capture of buildings and structures) of the Criminal Code of Belarus. All of them are in custody. The Investigative Committee also stated that Tikhanovskaya was currently put on the wanted list. Documents for her extradition were transferred to the General Prosecutor's Office.

Svetlana Tikhanovskaya was forced to leave for Lithuania after the presidential election in Belarus in August 2019. She is in Lithuania in the status of an official guest, she was provided with protection and place of residence, she receives a salary that is paid to all office employees with the help of funds and personal donations, and all foreign trips are paid by the host.

On October 7, 2020, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs declared Tikhalovskaya on the wanted list . They explained that Russian law enforcement agencies did not institute any criminal cases against Tikhanovskaya, and in the base of the people’s wanted persons, it was included on the initiative of another state, most likely, Belarus. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus confirmed that Tikhanovskaya was put on an interstate wanted list, but there were no details.
