The author of repacks of pirated versions of video games, known as xatab, has died. The message about his death appeared on March 6 in the group "Xatab RePack" on VKontakte. Other sources have not yet confirmed this information.

TJ writes that xatab died at the age of 60. The Zone of Games website claims that xatab's real name is Radik Nizamov.

As the authors of the group "Xatab RePack" write, he died from complications due to viral pneumonia, which arose against the background of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. In 2018, the network wrote that due to a serious illness, the repacker was in intensive care.

The public's message notes that the "xatab" brand has no heirs, so there will never be new repacks from xatab. Zone of Games claims that the repacks have been prepared by another person for the last few years.
