Roskomnadzor summoned representatives of the Paramount Comedy TV channel for a preventive conversation because of scenes that were shown in one of the episodes of the satirical animated series "South Park".
The department reported that they had discovered an episode of a TV series on the air of the TV channel in which “scenes were shown that contribute to the formation of ideas in society about the conformity of intimate relations between adults and minors with social norms.”
Roskomnadzor noted that the animated series has an age rating of “18+”, is shown on the TV channel after 11 p.m. and is aimed at an adult audience.
Roskomnadzor did not specify which episode of South Park they were talking about. Judging by the Paramount Comedy TV program , the channel has recently been showing episodes of the 14th season of South Park, which was released in 2010. It is unclear whether Roskomnadzor has any complaints about one of the episodes of this season.
Roskomnadzor recommended that representatives of the TV channel, when forming the broadcasting schedule, more carefully approach the issue of selecting video materials and correlate them with the requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as the moral and ethical standards of Russian society.
