The singer Manizha will introduce Russia at the Eurovision-2021 international competition in Rotterdam with the song "Russian Woman" ("Russian Woman"), announced on the air of Channel One. According to RIA Novosti , according to the results of the audience vote, Manizha scored 39.7%. She competed with Therr Maitz group, which presented the song "Future is Bright" during a special festive show, and a duet #2mashi, who performed the composition "Bitter Words". They gained 24.6% and 35.7%, respectively.

After the announcement of the results, Manizha thanked the audience for confidence. She assured them, which would not dissolve and will do everything "as it should, honestly." In December 2020, she became the first Ambassador of Goodwill to UN Refugees from Russia.

Eurovision-2021 will be held on May 18-22 at the Ahoy arena in Rotterdam, performers from 41 countries will take part in it. According to the organizers, the competition will take place in offline format, but the compositions of delegations and the number of journalists will be reduced. Whether the public will be present at the performances is still unknown.

Last year, Eurovision was canceled due to the pandemic of coronavirus. Russia was supposed to represent the Little Big group with the song UNO. Some viewers considered that the group will become a candidate this year, but the leader of the group Ilya Prusikin denied this information. According to him, in Russia there are many other talented artists, moreover, the group did not want their new song to be compared with UNO, which became the most visible on the Eurovision’s YouTube channel in the history of the competition.
